We have some questions to ask you, so that the SOI faculty can plan the summer classes and your particular course of training. Please answer these questions with as much information as seems relevant:

Are you currently taking private voice lessons? If yes, who is your current teacher?

In 2024, the SOI created a Baroque Orchestra from the SOI participants. We may be able to do so again this year. Do you play an instrument, or multiple instruments? If yes, please explain what instrument (s) and honestly describe how good you are (beginner, intermediate, advanced).

Are you a dancer? Or would you like to dance? If you have studied dance, please explain your past history with dance (styles, amount of training, where you trained, etc.), and honestly describe how good you are at each type of dance you mention.

Are you interested in studying conducting? If yes, have you studied conducting before? If yes, are you interested in choral conducting or orchestral conducting?

How good are you at Music Theory - your ability to follow and understand printed music? (This does not refer to sight singing) Please honestly describe your level (complete beginner, beginner, intermediate, advanced).

Do you play the piano? If so, are you interested in training to be an accompanist of singers and opera? If yes, please describe your level and past experiences as accompanist and pianist.

Are there other class/training suggestions you would like the SOI faculty to consider adding this summer?
